Meet The Trainer
Monique Aguilar is the daughter of a service dog trainer and an Army Master Sergeant. She grew up around a wide variety of dogs and started helping her mom train service dogs around the age of 10. At age 19 Monique went to work for the County of El Paso as a secretary and over the course of her 24-year career, she was promoted multiple times until she achieved the top position in the department with the title of Facilities Manager. She retired from the County in 2015 and in 2017 she decided to become a full-time obedience and service dog trainer.
Monique grew up an Army brat and has lived in El Paso since she was 15. Monique is married with one son, and has two Rottweilers, Eleanor and Clementine.
